Melvin told me on wednesday night, "I have a bad feeling about tonight."

"Are your intuitions always right?" I asked

"Yeah."

Things did happen. So, screw you, mel!!
I had fun though.

And oh, on that day, there was something wrong with the trains. Instead of 30 minutes to reach city hall, I took nearly 1 hour.
I found out yesterday that someone jumped onto the tracks and died.
Life is so fragile. I can't help but think no matter how much you think how insignificant you are, your death will affect everyone in some way or another.

a few hours ago. I had a forced glimpse of you.
a few seconds, was all it took.

I am waiting (impatiently) for Sanctuary's raid to begin. In the mean time, I shall post pictures of the recent KL trip. I am not going to narrate my whole experience there, you can refer to Minou's blog.Anyway, pictures speak a thousand words!

Refreshing noon nap wakes us up for shopping!

My Nest for the week

We give our High Priestess some tender loving care before we head off for lunch

This is where our hungry stomachs will be fulfilled. (susu drools in a corner and cannot stop gushing about how she never smelt A&W since clementi's branch closed down)

Suddenly, qiao yun lets out a scream. It's a monster!!

Oh, a friendly monster. Yummy, my food!

We head to Times Square. Very nice Xmas decorations and oooh. I wanna sit that roller coaster!

I manage to snap a picture of Garfield and Odie... and their twins. Guess who is which?

This is our sumptuous dinner. Very good chicken! (although I was having bad gastric)

The next day, we wake early. And imitate Charlie's Angels (sorry Minou) while waiting for the guys to get ready

On the way to our Bak kut teh breakfast, I find a car with my name! -gasp-

And on the way to shopping, we see a car with Minou's name!! -double gasp-

Should I buy? =\ i cant decide....

Ice cream with cookie crumbs rox.

Lets put our hands together to congratulate... Qiaoyun! Shopping queen - first prize!

And... Minou, first runner up! (represented by hubby Justin)

Meet Elyxia, our second runner up.. Congrats!

Morte got a new haircut while waiting for the girls.

One month has passed, just like that.

Happy 1st month to me.
Nostalgia..pain..memories.

Go with time.

Today Raj asked me to go clubbing with him, to which I replied: "Please contact me after I've slimmed down, because I don't go clubbing when I'm fat and flabby at the wrong places."
He must be shaking his head. Oh well.
I've been putting off my exercise regime. And after reading Minou's post, I feel guilty. Because I keep finding a time to exercise put I procrastinate. Okay. I will do it! Tomorrow evening. I WILL!!

I think I will miss Raj. I want to see him bald and laugh at him. I miss a lot of people.. I'm starting work soon in January. I don't know if it's going to be good or bad. I kind of dread it actually, I rather stay home and play EQ all day but I know it's unhealthy because I can feel myself getting weaker, argh.

I haven't been reading the papers and updating myself with the outside world. Right now I'm trapped in Davienne's body, in a fantasy world where I can cure myself. I hope it applies out here.
By the way, Druu's back! I've never been so happy to see him. He told me that he and Rose broke up, after a long 3 years and I told him about my story. So we laughed over it and tried consoling each other. Hehe.
Anyway, he sent me his picture and I'm trying to psycho him to cut his hair. Oh, here's a picture of his brother's cat. It's awfully adorable.

Does he brighten your day? Now that I've brightened your day, please do something to brighten another person's day!

I have not fully recovered from the packed and hectic weekend. We left for Batam on Friday night and celebrated pot's birthday on Saturday night. Came back raided until I couldn't take it and went to snooze. Tiring, but very fulfilling :)

Friday night

I pack my bag hurriedly after playing EQII because I thought I would be late. I remember to bring my passport because Mum has been jinxing me not to bring my passport. Some mother I have. -_-"
I grab a taxi down to HarbourFront, started calling everyone only to get the same answer: "I'm on my way down." I sit at our meeting place, MacDonalds. I'm the only one there (surprise, surprise!) I order a hot tea but they give me hot milo instead. Soon, kerr arrives looking fresh and unlike any person who just knocked off from work. We chat a little until Minou comes, showing off her new earrings. "Dear look!" she squeals, "I bought this when I passed by the accessories shop!"
We buy some stuff to eat only to find that the staff unloaded the whole packet of salt on our fries. Soon morte arrives (and changed the fries for us). Suvena arrives the latest ("shopping for my hair clip, hee hee") then we troop off to check in.

On board, the seats are surprisingly comfortable and cushiony. It wasn't as full as I'd imagined it to be. We start talking and taking pictures.

Before we know it, we reach our destination. Kerr's uncle is waiting for us outside. We walk gingerly towards our mode of transport only to discover.... A very big, lush and comfortable van! We are delighted with our findings.

Kerr starts conversing with his uncle at the front in Teochew and we start chit chatting at the back. Suvena keeps bringing up the topic of seafood and makes my stomach growl. The roads in Batam are dangerously unlit. The whole van is dark. When we finally see light , we have reached the inn. We are amazed because the cottage looks very cosy from the outside, and even cosier on the inside!

Oh look, Isaiah's flowers for Valencia! So pretty!

The balcony faces the sea and has a breathtaking view. Susu almost faints when she sees the balcony.

Happy with our inn, we go off hungrily to have our dinner. We reach a seafood center and susu orders a whole lot of food -- 9 dishes in total. Morte looks at her in surprise and says, "you sure you can finish?" But, all the dishes sound so nice! I manage to capture a few before my camera runs out of battery.

The couples are enjoying their food alot! Thumbs up!

This is the remains.. -burp- yummy!!

We head back to the cottage, feeling sleepy. Susu gets excited seeing the mahjong set on the table. We chill out at the balcony for a while. When it is 11.30pm, we head off to put our sneaky plan into action.

We are amateurs at putting fireworks so most of our time is spent reading instructions and speculating what to do. Kerr decides to start 10 minutes earlier because we can't contain our excitement. The plan is put off the flower fireworks to catch pot's attention. It did come off, not into the air but onto the ground. We stare miserably at the failed fireworks on the ground, which is now coloured smoke.

Kerr rushes off to put the next fireworks because we have catch her attention and lure her up. A series of successful (but not so beautiful) fireworks shoot up into the air. Finally, the fish has caught the bait! Isaiah manages to bring her up to where we are.

We sing her a birthday song and he presents her with the flowers. Cheese!

We play around a bit more with the fireworks.

Kerr causes the bushes to catch fire.

After playing with fireworks, we head off to get our massages. Pot tells me that I have to be topless during the massage, and I am very apprehensive. I do not like the idea of someone unfamiliar staring at my bare chest. During the massage, I gingerly hold my towel tactfully across my chest and plop myself face down on the bed. I fall asleep with her massaging my legs. When I wake, I feel extremely sleepy but I have to play mahjong!

Minou complains about her lady when we get back. Her arms are filled with red stretch marks. Eeks. But everyone has different experiences with their massages.

Susu, pot, isaiah and I play mahjong till 6am in the morning when pot complains that she needs to sleep. Susu and I reluctantly let her off and we head to bed.

Saturday morning
I am awakened by the ringing of susu's phone . I think it is 9am. I go back to sleep. I wake at 11am I think. Everyone is awake except susu. And everyone looks stoned.

Except of course, this cat. ROAR!

Here's the view of the balcony during day time. Beautiful, isn't it.

On the way back to Singapore, all of us fall asleep on the ferry because we are so tired. I go back home and freshen up before heading off for pot's party.

Mor pictures of her party coming up!!

I need sleep badly. But my body refuses to rest past noon. It's annoying, because I always have this problem no matter how late I turn in for bed and it's worse when I get interrupted during sleep by calls (/bonk Kerrendor)

Today raids lastest till 3am in the morning. I went because I was having a headache and didn't feel like sleeping. Bish, Realm and I suggested supper so Bish came over to pick me at 0315am. I think they had fun discussing how to dispose of me in the car (as usual). lInitially, we had decided on eating prata but we passed by a Bak Kut Teh shop and bish wanted to eat.
I didn't know you tiao tastes so good with bak kut teh!!!

We finished around 4am I think. So right now, I feel like a total zombie. But oh, no amount of lack of sleep could wipe away my excitement for tonight!

Gonna bring my camera and post pictures up here. Miss me, everyone!

After playing EQII till 3am in the morning and watching National Geographic (yes, I'm hooked since Thailand) till I fell asleep, I highly doubted that I would convince myself to wake up for... The Mango Sale!

I did, however, manage to wash up and reach Parkway early to meet Elyxia (she was late =\) . When I stepped into the store, I had a big shock. When you arrive at a mall at 8.30 am in the morning, you do NOT expect to see a huge crowd of working adults and aunties turning the whole place upside down. I hate crowds and I hate looking at unfolded clothes. So needless to say, I didn't do much shopping because I was put off by the crowd, and I didn't want to be caught trying on the same thing as another auntie in line.

Elyxia took a top, a skirt, and a jacket to try on. Oh gosh, Ely, you look absolutely gorgeous in jackets and I mean it! I expect uncle Kel to be drooling when he sees you in that jacket.
The jacket fits her shoulders perfectly.. Curves in nicely at the waist to show off her slim figure. Now, most people with broad shoulders are not often blessed with a nice bottom, but Elyxia got lucky, because she is! With that jacket, she looks totally ... Woman power! Very sophisticated, very high class and yet sexy at the same time -winkz-
Okay, I'm not doing an advertisment for Mango, but she looks really nice in every jacket she tried.
And ooh, that skirt u bought girl, its time to show off your legs and STOP HIDING THEM IN JEANS!!

We had breakfast at McDonalds and chatted for a bit. It feels nice to be chatting up with another girl. I feel my social life getting back together gradually. We made plans to cycle together too. Which reminds me -- I have to call realm to jog with me... I have to stop putting my exercise regime off!!!

Lately mosquitoes have been in love with me. I'm itching all over.
I can't wait to start work and be busy with my life again. It feels good to be happy :)

Singapore to Bangkok

I manage to grab a taxi near my place and I fly down to Terminal One. I think I am late because my computer was giving me problems. I reach the airport and check in. I am hungry so I grab a sandwich from Gelare. I'm disappointed though, that they were pre-made , not made to order. It is 10.00pm and I head to my gate. I have mixed feelings about this trip. I hope I can be a very happy person in Thailand. I tell myself that I will.
I send goodbye messages as I board. I am still sending even as I settle in my seat. The headrest in uncomfortable and I squirm about, hoping to find a comfy position. The plane moves and takes off. I try to look out but it is pitch dark and the window is too far away from me. I try to sleep but I cannot. So I stay awake and try to occupy myself with the games.
The food on SAS is horrible. I've tasted it before and I don't want to try it again. So I leave my sandwich aside while everyone else munches on theirs. I am thankful that I had Gelare for dinner. There is no apple juice, so I settle for orange juice.
Before I know it, I am in Bangkok, Thailand. I forget to take the Arrival card and am in a state of frenzy. I am completely lost. I manage to locate a guy in uniform and he gives me the Arrival card. I get into a queue quickly and borrow a pen from the woman behind me. She is very friendly and speaks rapidly in a familiar language to the lady beside her. Japanese, I suppose.
The queue is not moving. I get frustrated at the slow service. I see some people leave the queue and I decide to take my chance and jump queues. I find a much shorter queue and am satisfied at my findings. I smile at the old man in front of me. He shows me his passport and looks at mine. "Nihon-jin," he tells me. I smile and say, "Singapore."
I am finally out of customs. I see a sign requesting for me and I join the group. It is almost 1am Singapore time. I am the last to be dropped off at the hotel, so I fall asleep while I wait.
I check into my hotel blurry eyed. It is extremely unfamiliar because mum booked a different one this time, closer to Sampeng so I needn't take cabs to and fro too much. My room is on the 11th floor. I make the wrong turn but I finally find my room. I shower and I pounce onto bed. Finally, I get to sleep.

Day One

I sleep to my fill and wake up refreshed at 9am (spore time). I go down to have my complimentary breakfast. The selection is not as big as Asia's hotel, but it will do. I settle for eggs, bacon, potatoes and chicken porridge. Then, I head out to Sampeng to get what I came here to get.
It is extremely difficult to cross the road. The air stinks. The traffic light is non-existent because drivers do not follow it. I manage to follow the locals and get across. I think I need more practice.
It is filled with people this morning. I weave in and out of shops. I am beginning to like this busy area. It is lively and most of all, simple. I go into a few shops and choose my earrings carefully. They are going for extremely cheap. I grab as much as I can, pay and repeat for the next shop.
At noon, I am exhausted. I grab all my bags and head back to the hotel. I fall asleep unknowingly and wake up to go back to Sampeng again.
The first day is extremely tiring. After my second round of shopping I return to drop my things again. I fall back on the bed and fall asleep , again.
It is dinner time when I wake. I take a break and go down to Saladeng to do my shopping. Things hasn't changed much around here the last time I came. I have my dinner and at night, I go for a nice relaxing shoulder massage.
Then, I return to the hotel to get a good night's rest.

Day Two

In the morning I wake reluctantly. I go downstairs and have the same breakfast. I rush off to Sampeng to redeem the goods I left with the shop because they took too long to bill it. I see Singaporeans bargaining for a bag. I shake my head silently because the bag is extremely cheap (S$3) and I don't see a need for bargaining, unless they are buying many bags. I do not stay long enough to see the outcome, but I presume the lady would not win a discount.
I have lunch here again. I have my dumpling noodles and orange juice again. Homemade noodles taste really good. I am satisfied and I carry on buying earrings and necklaces. I buy some gift boxes from a shop and tell them I will return to bill later. After some window shopping I return and find a huge bag of goods waiting for me. The staff sends a boy to bring it back to the hotel for me because clearly, I am unable to move the monstrous bag. Out of my goodwill, I tip him 20 Baht as he is about to leave.
Safe in my room, I turn on to National Geographic and watch the animal show. I remind myself that I need to buy gaosai for studygroup.
It is 5pm now and I am exhausted. Siam center is next on my list tonight. I think I will sleep.

Day Three
Today I wake automatically. I take my time to shower and I head down for breakfast. I have my usual again. Instead of porridge, I choose cereal this time and I have omelette for my choice of eggs. After having my fill, I head across to Sampeng.
I find this shop with irresistable wooden earrings going for 30 Baht each. A little pricey, I think, but worth the price for its design. I tell the lady, "more, More!" and she returns with many more wooden earrings. I wait outside while waiting for her to finish billing me, beacuse the shop space only allows for 1 person to cross. My bills totals to 10,000 Baht after discount. She thanks me profusely and urges me to return next time. I leave, feeling like a princess.
I drop my things at the hotela nd head off to the four-faced Buddha at Phat Phong. It is a must visit everytime I am in Bangkok. I take a cab down and after 20 minutes, the cab driver points ahead and says,"Phat Phong". I drop and realize that I am not at pHat Phong, but at Saladeng. I curse the cab driver and take an Mrt down to Chit Lom. I walk to the temple after getting instructions from the lady in the departmental store.
After my visit to the temple, I head down via train to Chatuchak. I hope I can grab some presents home from the weekend market. But when I reach, it is infested ith people. I start looking at puppies and kittens. Because of the crowd, I am turned off and take a cab to MBK to finish up my shopping.
It is late when I finish my shopping. I take a cab back to the hotel. I am extremely tired and sore all over. On the lift up, an advertisment for massage catches my eye. I head to the FItness room after my shower and have a nice relaxing massage. Rejuvenating!!
Sleep will be good after that.

Bangkok to Singapore

It is my last day here. I have wasted much time sleeping when I am supposed to be buying goods. So I wake extremely early today to do last minute buys. I return to the hotel at 11am and get ready for the driver to come and pick me.
My flight is at 4pm and I get there just in time. This time, i am assigned a window seat! I'm thrilled and stare out of the window whenever i can.
It is beautiful outside. Before I know it, I am in Singapore. I pay the taxes and grab a taxi home..
HOME SWEET HOME!!

I woke up with tears streaming down my face.

I still remember the first time you held my hand.
I still remember the first time you touched my lips.
I still remember the first time you told me I was the very person you were looking for.

I still remember.
Despite what you said to me, I still remember.

I can't understand why you can forget that but I know you're the new you, maybe that's why. I still hope you find happiness in the new you. I just wish you can stop saying mean things to hurt me. And stop appearing in my mind. Stop appearing when I hate you, stop appearing as the old you in my head.

Finally, after two weeks of self denial, I think I should let my friends around me, who don't know, know this.
Yes, I've broken up with my boyfriend of two and a half years.
I think I am ready to join the singles club. It's been a tough two weeks.

Yes yes, call me to comfort me and stuff, ask me out, anything! I'm better now. And for close friends to know: we're still friends, so don't hesitate to ask us out.

Well, I must admit that settling down, alone, was a very scary and lonely process. But I had huge help from a particular group of friends. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about my breakup. To put things in perspective, I'm actually thankful for what used to be "us", because it made me a better person. I know it sounds cliche, but it did. And all I want now, is for him to be happy. And of course, me to be happy every single day.

Recently, I met and got to know better this Japanese guy in guild, Jalid. Oooh he's so cute. Jalid are you reading this? Okay, you probably won't understand a word anyway. But Jalid is very kawaii! He sent me two blood roses dropped off the epicx2 orcs in Clefts of Rujark, to cheer me up. I was laughing, because you DO NOT send a girl blood roses! But it was really nice and sweet of him. Too bad he has a girlfriend.

Christmas is coming! I'm not as psyched as I would be, because there's no one really, for me to spend with. Ying isn't coming back until the 27th. I've been immersing myself unhealthily in EQ2. Today, I decided that forcing my body until its max capacity until I become totally exhausted wasn't good for me. So, I made a list of the things I should do.
Hmm. To go by the list is another story, haha.

Realm is going back to Taiwan. I sincerely will miss you! And the souveneirs you bring back for me, of course. Haha. You scrooge!! You better bring something back for me.
I'm leaving for Thailand in less than a week, on the 7th. Anybody wants anything?
I will miss all of you.. and of course, I'll miss my Davienne and EQII.
Being a weaponsmith is so cool and fun, although I haven't gotten a single outsider order for all my 56 levels. Haha.
Sigh, I hope servers are up. Stupid SOE has made me wait 6 hours in all. =\
